The Role
The Business Development Manager (BDM) position is the first interaction prospective customers have with Origina. The team is comprised of tenacious, positive and hard-working individuals dedicated to outstanding achievement and success of themselves, the Sales team and the company. Origina is looking for self-motivated, flexible, team-oriented and creative sales team members looking to further build their career in Sales and Channel development. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing business and channel development to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborating with our Territory Managers and our Channel team to expand Origina’s presence in the US Market through our Channel Partnerships
- Building, developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with Channel Partners, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring mutual success
- Demonstrating a consultative sales approach, positioning our solutions in alignment with partner and customer needs
- Exhibiting a proactive approach in identifying and developing new business opportunities, both through channel partners and direct end-user outreach
- Prospecting, qualifying, and nurturing leads to build a healthy pipeline of potential customers
- Co-ordinating with and providing feedback to the Sales and Channel team members on lead generation successes and suggested improvements
- Identifying and targeting greenfield accounts (new, untapped opportunities) in key industries and verticals
- Developing and implementing strategies to penetrate accounts, establishing Origina as a trusted provider for software support solutions
- Collaborating with internal teams such as marketing, product, and support to ensure a seamless and effective partner experience
- Working closely with the sales team to develop joint go-to-market strategies for partner-led initiatives
- Staying current with market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
- Sharing insights and feedback with internal teams to shape product offerings and marketing strategies
About you
- A valid passport and ability to travel occasionally
- Excellent written & verbal English language skills
- Professional background in business development, lead generation, outbound calling or equivalent
- Evidence-based experience of working with Channel Partners
- Skilled in conducting research, leveraging social media to qualify leads, driving opportunity and revenue
- Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment
- Self-motivated and driven for outstanding results with focus on quality and the customer
- Devotion to sales development, achievement and driving sales career forward rapidly
- Knowledge of general technology terms & trends
- Ability to be flexible and work in a rapidly changing, collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Strong multi-tasking, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Solid technical aptitude & business acumen
- Curious, positive and ambitious attitude
- Familiarity with a CRM or content management tracking system
