Orion Partner Plus is seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to join a leading global producer of water filtration products. This role offers the opportunity to lead an expanding Engineering and New Product Development Team, managing a global project portfolio and fostering innovation in a dynamic and high-growth environment.

Operating one of the world’s largest solid-state extrusion facilities for activated carbon filters, they have also expanded their technology portfolio to include additional novel filtration media.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing Engineering and Product Development Team.
- Manage a global project portfolio, qualifying new opportunities, prioritizing projects, and overseeing execution.
- Foster innovation and accountability within the team, driving the development of differentiated products with a competitive advantage.
- Interface with key customers to ensure the voice of the customer is incorporated into all product development efforts.
- Collaborate on the 3-5-year technology roadmap for the business.
- Act as a technical ambassador, representing the company in industry forums and trade shows.
- Support operations, quality, research, and sales and marketing as required.
- Prepare written and oral reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality guidelines.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
- 10 years of experience in Product Development Engineering, with at least 3 years of experience managing a high-performing engineering team.
- Experience leading new product development, preferably in consumer products.
- Experience in the commercialization of water filtration or treatment products is a plus.
- Expertise in high-volume production and manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Intellectual Property and patent processes is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to train and mentor staff in problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience with Stage Gate Process in product development.
- Proficiency in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Core Tools.
- Strong knowledge of computer software such as SolidWorks, Microsoft Office Suite, and statistical analysis tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present professional presentations to customers.
Travel
This role requires approximately 20% travel.
