Medical Technologist – Evening Shift

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM (with a 1-hour break included); Rotating Saturday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist to become a valuable member of our team based in Baton Rouge, LA. At Orion Laboratories, you will work under the supervision of our Laboratory Manager and will be responsible for conducting a wide range of clinical tests including both automated and manual procedures. An ideal candidate will be able to work in a team environment and show willingness to grow and learn new skills.
Pay and Benefits
· Base rate of $25.00 with additional compensation for skill proficiency, shift differentials, supervisory differentials, and performance bonuses

Key Responsibilities
· Perform routine analysis on specimens and interpret results using approved testing procedures without error and within designated turnaround time.
· Monitor test systems to ensure acceptable performance levels and perform corrective actions when needed
· Follow CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in the respective policies.
· Report any performance, compliance, or staffing-related issues to supervisors.
· Identify and resolve testing problems promptly to maintain seamless laboratory operations.
· Communicate any issues with results or testing to the client services and operations teams
· Provide suggestions and recommendations to enhance workflow.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
· MLT, MT/CLS, Louisiana State Licensed
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or a related science
· Experience as a Medical Technologist/Technician
