Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to act as the point of contact for patients, clinical staff, and visitors. In this role, you will check-in patients for bloodwork, ensuring patient information and orders are accurate and current. This role requires attention to detail and exceptional customer service to maintain the highest quality standards essential for accurate medical testing. The Medical Receptionist is responsible for verifying accurate information, contacting clinics for orders, and controlling the flow of patients in a fast-paced, high-output environment, adhering to established standard operating procedures. An ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and confident managing both patient interactions and administrative duties. Experience in a medical or lab setting is a plus, but not required – we provide training to set you up for success.
Pay and Benefits:

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients or customers with excellent customer service.
- Confirm patient’s name and date of birth to accurately verify patient lab orders.
- Obtain or enter patient orders into system when not already provided.
- Control and direct patient flow by escorting patient into the drawing area.
- Confirm patient visit is complete and ensure patient check-out process.
- Answer incoming calls or questions and relay messages to on-site staff or main lab staff.
- Report any performance, compliance, or staffing-related issues to supervisors.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service to patients, clinical staff, or customers.
- Report performance, compliance, or staffing concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Additional duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Proficient in data entry with strong computer literacy.
- Ability to navigate computer-based laboratory information system (LIS) efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal skills that foster a positive work environment.
- Ability to diffuse tense situations and apply good judgment.
- Comfortable working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to work
