Job Description
Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2 years of bankruptcy experience to join their team. Responsibilities include:
- Representing clients in bankruptcy proceedings, workouts, and restructuring matters
- Drafting legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and memoranda
- Conducting legal research and preparing case strategies
- Advising clients on bankruptcy and financial restructuring issues
- Attending court hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations
- Collaborating with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in New Jersey
- 2 years of experience in bankruptcy law
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Ability to handle cases independently and work collaboratively within a team
- Prior experience in Chapter 11, Chapter 7, or restructuring matters is a plus
