We are composed of a group of industry-proven water treatment engineers, automation experts, field operators, and technicians who have treated over 1 billion gallons of different and challenging wastewater for its customers in the last 5 years. We provide water treatment and waste minimization solutions for companies that use water in the creation of their products and services. Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales and Business Development Specialist to grow our client base and expand our market share within the oil and gas industry. This role focuses on selling water treatment services tailored to completions, flowback, produced water, and freshwater management needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oilfield water and completions operations, an established network within the oil and gas community, and a proven track record of sales success.
Key Responsibilities:
· Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the oil and gas market, particularly for water treatment services during completions and production operations.
· Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers (e.g., completions engineers, water managers, procurement officers).
· Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and technical materials to clients.
· Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and project management teams to design client-specific solutions.
· Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform business strategy and identify new service opportunities.
· Attend industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote Orion’s brand and offerings.
· Meet or exceed assigned sales targets, revenue goals, and business development KPIs.
· Maintain detailed records of all customer interactions, proposals, and contract negotiations in CRM systems.
· Provide client feedback to internal teams to support continuous improvement of services and offerings.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field).
· 3 years of direct sales or business development experience in water treatment, oilfield services, or a closely related industry.
· Strong understanding of hydraulic fracturing (completions) operations and associated water needs.
· Existing client relationships within the oil and gas sector highly desirable.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
· Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
· Ability to travel frequently to client sites, field offices, and industry events.
· Technical knowledge of water treatment technologies (e.g., filtration, chemical treatment, recycling).
· Confident understanding of frac chemistries and operations.
· Familiarity with regulatory requirements around water management in the oil and gas industry.
· Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Odoo) and MS Office Suite.
Working Conditions:
- Travel to client sites or project locations will be required.
- Ability to work in both office and field environments.
