This role is responsible for supporting the Boston Financial (BF) Fund Accounting Team in preparing and maintaining quarterly and annual financial reports, various reconciliations, and annual tax return schedules of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Funds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Prepares quarterly journal entries in conjunction with the quarterly Fund financial reporting process.
- Prepares quarterly and annual Fund financial statements and supporting workpapers.
- Interacts directly with Fund auditors to handle open items on assigned group of Funds.
- Assists BF's Asset Managers and Fund Managers in resolving audit issues that arise on Lower-Tier property partnerships and resolution of investor accounting questions with guidance from more experienced team members.
- Prepares annual Fund tax trial balances and tax return supporting schedules.
- Prepares various quarterly reconciliations.
- Performs ad hoc requests and projects as assigned.
