OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Room Service Server you are responsible for preparing orders, set trays and delivering items to guests in rooms in an attentive and efficient manner; ensuring to provide excellent quality service as per the hotel SOP.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • On time and at work when scheduled and in proper uniform
  • Minimum lifting of 50lbs.
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers
  • Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, upward reaching
  • Some exposure to cleaning chemicals
  • Prolonged periods of standing and / or walking
  • Consistent professional and positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests and associates

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Practice Basics of Brilliant Hosting at all times
  • Receive orders and deliver to rooms
  • Operate POS equipment
  • Complete all side work including retrieving trays
  • Each associate is expected to complete, within their ability, all reasonable requests by management
  • Serve meals to guests, collect guests trays and respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Present checks to guests and obtain payment
  • Return payment; signed checks to the order taker
  • Serve alcohol / non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Perform order taker duties; answer room service telephones as needed
  • Set-up room service trays and carts to prepare for incoming orders
