What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exhibit Technician PT position at Orlando Science Center.?
The Exhibit Technician (PT) is primarily responsible for the cleanliness and minor maintenance of Orlando Science Center’s exhibits. This position is responsible for exhibit cleaning, sanitation, and general exhibit issues. Including but not limited to replenishing of exhibit consumables and troubleshooting of basic systems.
Essential Functions
- Starts up or shuts down OSC’s exhibits.
- Routinely monitors exhibit halls and addresses exhibit challenges and cleanliness.
- Keeps exhibit halls and props organized.
- Replenishes exhibit consumables as needed.
- Reports any exhibit challenges as they arise in a work order database.
- Performs general cleaning, dusting, and organizing of exhibit components, exhibit halls and shop.
- Troubleshoots and make minor repairs to exhibits as needed.
- Able to work independently.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience & Certifications: N/A
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with hand tools, drills, multimeter and soldering iron is preferred.
