Part-Time School Nurse Long-Term Substitute

Orleans Southwest Supervisory Union is seeking a student-centered RN, LPN, or EMT to work 2 days per week during the remainder of the school year. The expected location is Wolcott Elementary School. Locations are subject to change for our School Health Team Members based on student and staffing needs. The ideal candidates will have the following qualifications: • Current, valid Vermont RN license • CPR and First Aid certified • Several years of clinical experience that includes pediatric and community/family-centered nursing Areas of student health care responsibilities include: • Assessment • First aid • Health screening • Medication administration • Assist in communicable disease control • Immunization assessment • Attend student meetings as necessary • Assessment and care of students with special needs Additional areas of responsibilities include: • Compilation of statistical information • Maintenance of health and medication records/logs • Accident reporting • Member of the Wellness and Safety Teams • Student/staff emergency card maintenance • Preparation of required state reports • Providing staff and parents with information on school health policies, and other pertinent health resource information • Providing interpretation of health information to staff and parents • Promoting a healthy school environment

Salary : $22 - $43
