Purpose of the Position:
To maintain and complete all required documentation relating to the ISO quality system, PPAP’s for new programs and modify current production documents, performing layouts, APQP activities where applicable and maintaining calibrations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete part layout inspection of injection molded and extrusion parts prior to production launch and any current production part if needed
- Maintain QC inspection sheets for injection molding in excel and extrusion parts using Enact
- Maintain monthly QC reports received from customers and
- Maintain CoA reports received from Vendors and organize
- Document and maintain yearly management review notes, including monthly PPM, scrap etc.
- Assist in creation of Supplier scorecards per QM direction
- Developing entire PPAP where applicable for new/current production parts along with internal QC dimensional document creation, APQP activities where applicable
- Creation of Quality Alerts for issues and pass it to responsible dept. manager for awareness and sign off
- Perform QC Lab tests to confirm material properties under QM direction
- Perform Traceability Audits and Line walks to confirm all established processes, tests are being carried out as needed and also properly documented
- Communicate with customers and vendors when quality issues arise if needed
- Generate Weekly/Monthly reports for Finished goods, Raw materials and WIP products to support Production and Operations as needed
- Organize and lead customer sort requests as needed
- Manage entire calibration schedule(Internal & External) for quality inspection equipment
- Work overtime and willing to learn or understand customer requirements for APQP purposes
- Inventory management of office ordered supplies and products
- Any other special projects and duties as required/assigned by Quality Manager
Qualifications
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft office (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Basic math skills, detail oriented, organized and motivated
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to understand spoken and written English
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- 6 months minimum experience with hand held measuring devices (i.e. calipers, rulers, gages)
- Previous knowledge of injection molding and/or VMM usage for part measurements checks
- College degree in any accreditation
- Minimum 1 years of Experience in PPAP/APQP for Automotive back ground
- Previous Experience working as QE or related with Toyota/Nissan/Subaru is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, walk for 8 plus hours daily
- Ability to use both hand, wrists, and arms with continual motion
- Ability to push, pull, grasp, and reach objects
- Ability to lift 30 plus pounds repeatedly
