Position Summary
Key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This position involves analyzing and translating business, information, and technical requirements into effective enterprise-level solutions and systems. Will work on implementation and improvement to existing systems. Responsible for requirements gathering, design, and testing.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
Minimum five (8) years of experience in new system implementation, conversions, system application upgrades and releases, and compliance within a retail or commercial banking environment.
Proficient reading, verbal and written communication, computer, mathematical, analytical, problem solving, decision making, customer service, coaching, training, and interpersonal relations skills; thorough working knowledge of various banking systems and applications; strong working knowledge of Word and Excel; possess and utilize a high level of attention to detail; be a self-starter and work independently as well as part of a team.
Essential Duties
Analyze, evaluate, and monitor workflow of banking software applications and systems; recommend, create, document, implement, and maintain same in order to gain efficiencies, reduce defects, streamline workflow, eliminate redundancy, and improve quality; provide input on key business initiatives focusing on quality data, customer focus, and risk management.
Develop processes and procedures ensuring bank applications and systems are standardized and consistently maintained; serve as subject matter expert to ensure timely resolution on issues with software applications and systems; act as liaison between Bank business units and System providers to leverage system capabilities; support new product development, future upgrades, and enhancements; communicate with vendors’ technical and helpdesk staff to solve problems and issues.
Supply reporting and metrics to business lines; attend business line meetings to gain a complete under- standing of their technology needs in order to provide quality user information, process improvement, and workable solutions; act as Project Manager for system conversions, upgrades, and new releases; build test scripts and manage user testing; work with vendors’ technical staff to ensure system interfaces and components are up to date and functional, and to develop download or file layout modifications to accommodate changes; work with business lines and respective applications to identify file structures, field definitions, and data structures to effectively data map into the customer relationship management and core data warehouses; analyze, identify, and document reporting needs of business line users.
Coordinate specific work tasks with personnel from applicable departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information; report pertinent information; compile information as necessary or directed and provide data to appropriate Bank personnel; respond to inquiries relating to the particular area and requests from customers, other Bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and established policy.
Attend regularly scheduled coaching and counseling sessions held by supervisor to achieve the outcome of improved communication, action plan development, positive feedback and performance improvement.
Abide by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment that is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place; support risk management practices and overall safety and soundness and the Bank’s compliance with all regulatory requirements. Ensure that the department and all personnel adhere to the same; perform tasks that are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job which may be altered or redesigned depending on individual circumstances.
