Duties:
- Provide organizational and administrative support to attorneys and legal professionals
- Prepare, review, and edit legal documents, including contracts and correspondence
- Manage document management systems and ensure accurate filing and retrieval of documents
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and handle inquiries with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette
- Transcribe dictations and prepare legal memos, letters, and other written materials
- Proofread documents for accuracy and completeness
- File legal documents with courts and government agencies as required
- Perform data entry tasks to update case information and maintain accurate records
- Provide general clerical support such as photocopying, scanning, faxing, and mailing
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a legal secretary or in a similar administrative role within a law firm or legal department
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
- Proficient in using document management systems and other relevant software applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail with strong proofreading abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
