Job Summary:
As an AV/Access Control Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of various AV and access control systems, including TV and video wall mounting, digital signage, conference room setups, low voltage wiring, and IT networking. Experience with Verkada access control systems is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- TV and Video Wall Mounting: Professionally install and configure TV and video wall systems in diverse environments.
- Digital Signage: Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot digital signage solutions, ensuring optimal performance and visual impact.
- Conference Room Setup and Troubleshooting: Configure and troubleshoot AV equipment in conference rooms, including projectors, screens, microphones, video conferencing systems, and other related technologies.
- Low Voltage Wiring: Perform all aspects of low voltage wiring, including installation, termination, and testing of various cables.
- IT Networking: Assist with the setup and maintenance of IT networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and security.
- Access Control Systems: Install, configure, and maintain Verkada access control systems (preferred), ensuring secure and efficient access management.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in AV installation and maintenance.
- Solid understanding of low voltage wiring and IT networking principles.
- Experience with digital signage and conference room AV setups.
- Experience with Verkada access control systems is highly preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple locations
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various environments.
