About Us:

The Orthodox Union (OU) is the largest Orthodox Jewish organization in the United States. Founded in 1898, the OU supports a network of synagogues, youth programs, Jewish and Religious Zionist advocacy programs, programs for the disabled, localized religious study programs, and international units. The OU maintains a kosher certification service, whose circled U symbol is found on the labels of many kosher commercial and consumer food products.

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented HRIS Analyst to independently manage the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our HRIS platform.. This role is essential for ensuring data integrity, supporting HR processes, and driving system efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for leveraging HR technology to improve decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities:

HRIS Administration & System Optimization

  • Independently manage the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our HRIS.
  • Ensure smooth and accurate flow of data between HR systems, payroll, accounting, and other business applications.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, and external vendors to implement system upgrades, enhancements, and integrations with other business platforms.
  • Maintain and update workflow processes to align with evolving HR and organizational needs.
  • Lead or participate in HRIS-related projects, from requirements gathering through implementation and post-launch support.

Data Management, Reporting & Compliance

  • Analyze HR and employee data to identify trends, generate reports, and make data-driven recommendations to improve HR processes and business decisions.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including policies, procedures, and user guides.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on HR systems and processes, advising on system capabilities and best practices.

User Support, Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide training and ongoing support to HR team members, managers, and employees on HRIS functionalities and best practices.
  • Develop user-friendly guides and documentation to enhance system adoption.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in HR technology and share knowledge within the organization.

 

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Hands on experience with Namely and Jobvite or similar HRIS/ATS platforms. Candidates with strong CRM experience will be considered.
  • Strong HRIS administration skills, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and data management.
  • Experience in reporting and analytics, with the ability to interpret and visualize HR data.
  • Familiarity with HR compliance standards, data privacy regulations, and best practices.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across departments.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with HR integrations, payroll systems, and third-party software tools.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or other reporting tools.
  • HR or HRIS-related certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, Namely certification).

  • Project Management: Ability to lead HRIS projects and coordinate with stakeholders effectively. 

 

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $75,000, commensurate with experience.

Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
