About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Precertification Specialist II to join our team at Advanced Orthopedics A Division of OrthoLoneStar. As a Precertification Specialist II, you will be responsible for ensuring that all necessary precertification requirements are met for our clients. This includes reviewing medical records, verifying insurance coverage, and obtaining necessary authorizations. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will be critical to your success in this role.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in precertification or insurance verification
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience working in the Medical Field
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems

Responsibilities

  • Review medical records to ensure that all necessary precertification requirements are met
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Communicate with clients and insurance companies to resolve any issues or discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all precertification activities
  • Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure that all client needs are met

Skills

As a Precertification Specialist II, you will utilize your strong attention to detail and communication skills on a daily basis. You will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software to maintain accurate records and communicate with clients and insurance companies. Knowledge of medical terminology and coding will be beneficial in this role. Additionally, you will work closely with other members of the team to ensure that all client needs are met, so strong interpersonal skills are essential.
