What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Analyst position at Orthomerica Products, Inc.?
The MIS System Analyst will participate in designing, selecting or developing, testing and implementing computer applications, program modifications and enhancements to meet requirements for effective and efficiently designed database, information and network systems. This role is required to be able to perform all MIS Technician duties as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Software maintenance and development of custom web, cloud, and desktop
applications using Visual Studio, VB, C#, ECMAScript, JSON, HTML/CSS. T-
SQL, TCP/IP (DNS, HTTP, SMTP), XML, XSLT, XPath, XQuery, and the ability
to learn new languages as needed.
2. Formulate test procedures to insure functionality and address problems.
3. Install configure and troubleshoot server software, network hardware (voice &
data), and internet connectivity.
4. Implement, administer, and troubleshoot complex information systems that include:
Active Directory, Citrix, Exchange, SQL Server, and Disaster Recovery software
5. Research and evaluate network hardware and software, software development tools
and methodologies, and communication and security protocols.
6. Assist in document in hard copy and electronic form of all system and software and
hardware inventory, and establish and maintain policy and procedures.
7. Communicate the status of all projects to a management on a regular basis.
8. Assistance in Disaster Recovery procedures and documentation.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide day-to-day management of facility technical computing needs to assure an
increase in business productivity, capability and minimize downtime.
2. Provide internal customer service for users of computer service in terms of
maintenance, software, and hardware.
3. Consult users with problems or new tasks, and aid in problem resolution. This often
includes providing or designing tools, and making data available in a usable form.
4. Provide debugging assistance when user problems are encountered.
5. Assist in support for Toshiba Call Center Network phone system.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Team Player, able to easily communicate with personnel at all levels.
2. A strong working knowledgeable of design and maintenance of computer hardware, including Networks and PC’s.
3. Able to meet deadlines and multi-task when necessary.
4. Available to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, holidays, and shortly before/after weather related emergencies such as hurricanes.
5. A quick learner able to suggest and create new procedures, software, and/or systems to increase efficiency.
6. Self-motivated to stay up to date on current technology (frequent reading of trade periodicals and state-of-the-art data processing literature as well as attendance at vendor-sponsored events and other seminars to maintain a high level of familiarity with new trends and best practices)
7. Familiar with disaster recovery/Disk imaging software.
8. Experience with (Web, cloud, and windows) using:
ASP.NET, Entity Framework, Visual Basics, C#, HTML, CSS, T-SQL, and ECMAScript.
9. One or more of the following certifications A , Network , Server , CCNA, CCNP ,CCIE, MCSE, MCSD.
10. Undergraduate degree preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
