Job duties:
Our head-to-toe orthopedic practice sees patients of all ages. In addition to orthopedic care, we also specialize in sports medicine, orthopedic urgent care needs, and physical therapy. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
As a Medical Assistant at OAZ, you will be responsible for:
- Initially assessing patient’s orthopedic complaints & screening patients for appropriate information.
- Educating family/patient about diagnostic procedures.
- Responding to/referring incoming patient treatment-related phone calls. Instructing patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Providing excellent customer service by greeting patients and maintaining a friendly demeanor at all times.
- Maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations & biohazardous disposal.
- Acting as a team player: Identifies areas to assist other team members with patient care, balances the workload when needed, and actively supports the overall success of the clinic.
- Maintaining & reviewing patient records, charts, and other pertinent information. Documents appropriately in patients’ charts.
- Performs other duties as directed.
Education and Experience:
- Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent experience preferred but not required
