The Surgical Care Coordinator Manager is responsible for overseeing the surgical scheduling team to ensure efficient and accurate scheduling of surgical procedures. This role ensures optimal coordination between surgeons, patients, and facilities, maintaining high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Surgery Scheduling Oversight

- Manage the surgical scheduling team to ensure timely and accurate scheduling of surgeries and procedures.
- Coordinate with surgeons, clinical staff, and facilities to optimize surgical block time utilization.
- Ensure effective communication with patients regarding pre-operative instructions, preparations, and financial obligations.
Team Leadership and Development

- Supervise and support the surgical scheduling team, providing leadership, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging professional growth and development.
- Ensure team compliance with organizational policies and healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in surgical scheduling or healthcare operations management.

- Knowledge of surgical workflows and insurance authorization processes.
