Sports Performance at The Center is a division of the Colorado Center of Orthopaedic Excellence , a premier multi-specialty orthopedic practice in Colorado Springs. We provide comprehensive orthopedic care and sports performance training for athletes of all levels. As the official orthopedic medicine providers for the Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center, team physicians for Colorado College, and performance coaches for several high schools, we are committed to developing strong, resilient athletes.
Position Overview
We are seeking a part-time Assistant High School Strength and Conditioning Coach to support our mission in developing student-athletes across multiple sports. This role involves working closely with the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at an assigned high school, assisting with performance testing, program design, and implementation. You will provide technique instruction, ensure athlete safety, and help prepare junior high athletes for the transition into high school training programs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with strength and conditioning program design and implementation.
- Provide real-time feedback on technique and safety (under the supervision of the head coach).
- Conduct and analyze performance testing.
- Work with a variety of sports teams and age groups.
- Support multiple schools based on need.
