Key Responsibilities:
- Litigation Support: Prepare and process various legal documents, including complaints, motions, orders, answers, pleadings, and subpoenas.
- Document Preparation: Draft and revise contracts, agreements, corporate resolutions, discovery responses, and other legal or compliance-related documents.
- File Management: Organize and maintain electronic and paper files for easy access.
- Communication: Handle communication with shareholders, board members, senior leaders, and external stakeholders.
- Policies: Develop and implement company policies and procedures to manage and mitigate legal risks.
- Administrative Duties: Schedule and calendar court dates, meetings, and deadlines.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Superb attention to detail, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using virtual data rooms and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Understanding of technical legal documents and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of experience in a paralegal role, preferably in healthcare
Other Details:
- Some travel required; day trips to Richmond, VA as needed
- Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences
- Able to lift 30 lbs without assistance
- Employment contingent on successful completion of background, drug, and TB screen
