Key Duties:
- Oversees the dietary operation of a 51-bed Skilled Nursing Home comprised of three households, Assisted/Independent Living, and patients at the Medical Campus
- Schedules and supervises dietary staff and performs other administrative functions as assigned
- Oversees preparation of food and dish foods according to the posted menu that is attractive, timely, portioned correctly and uses standardized recipes. Has working knowledge of the diets, uses proper portions, garnishes, and makes appropriate substitutions
- Collaborates with Registered Dietitian to ensure high-quality food service and meet the nutrition needs of those we serve
- Conducts nutritional assessments, records information on computer, participates in care conferences, discharge planning and diet consultation
- Determines dietary policies, policies for therapeutic nutrition and implementing nutritional care
- Orders food and supplies for food production, maintains inventory, monitors food preparation to ensure quality food production
- In cooperation with CFO, develops and follows the dietary department budget
- Maintains a positive attitude; encourages others and assists with other duties as assigned
- Exempt Full Time, 40 hours per week
- Typical hours are Monday-Friday, on call as needed
- Medical, Dental, Vision, HAS account with employer match

- Supervisory experience preferred
- Previous experience as a Dietary Aide or Cook in long term care a plus
