Job Summary :

We are looking for a creative and highly motivated Manager, Consumer Engagement to join our fast-paced, agile beauty brand. The Manager, Consumer Engagement will be at the forefront of executing digital strategies aimed at connecting and building relationships with Gen Z consumers for our beauty brand. This role requires a dynamic leader with expertise in digital marketing, consumer behavior analysis, and social media engagement to drive brand visibility, engagement, and loyalty, while optimizing the brand's digital presence.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for shaping and leading digital engagement strategies, building a strong online community, and ensuring that the brand resonates with younger, trend-savvy audiences. They will also manage the overall digital engagement efforts, from content creation and influencer partnerships to customer experience, while ensuring brand consistency and relevance in a fast-evolving beauty industry. By leading and executing innovative digital engagement strategies, the Manager, Consumer Engagement will play a critical role in the success of the brand, helping it scale and resonate with Gen Z audiences while fostering brand loyalty and long-term growth.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Digital Strategy Development & Execution :
  • Create & Implement Digital Engagement Strategies : Lead the digital strategy to grow brand visibility, engagement, and awareness among Gen Z consumers , focusing on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube .
  • Tailor Campaigns for Gen Z : Develop data-driven digital marketing campaigns with creative, shareable content that reflects Gen Z's values and interests (e.g., sustainability, diversity, authenticity, self-expression).
  • Innovative Campaigns : Introduce cutting-edge approaches like AR filters , interactive videos, TikTok challenges, and live-streamed events that captivate Gen Z's attention.
  • Social Media & Content Strategy :
  • Content Creation & Management : Oversee the creation and distribution of content on digital platforms (social media, website, blogs, etc.). Collaborate with designers, content creators, and influencers to ensure brand messaging is aligned with the Gen Z audience.
  • Influencer & UGC Strategy : Lead influencer partnerships and user-generated content (UGC) initiatives to authentically promote the brand. Manage and grow influencer and ambassador programs that resonate with Gen Z's values.
  • Platform-Specific Content : Optimize content for various platforms (e.g., TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, Snapchat stories) while ensuring the brand remains consistent across all digital touchpoints.
  • Influencer Partnerships :
  • Lead Influencer Outreach : Lead the identification, outreach, and management of influencer partnerships that align with the brand's ethos and appeal to Gen-Z consumers.
  • Develop Influencer Campaign Briefs : Develop creative briefs, manage content creation, and track influencer campaign performance.
  • Community Building : Build and maintain relationships with influencers, content creators, and brand ambassadors, ensuring seamless collaboration and brand alignment.
  • Product Seeding & Gifting : Create a strategic product seeding program to gift new beauty products to influencers, editors, and high-profile consumers within Gen Z's target audience. This will create organic, user-generated content and press buzz around the product launch.
  • Partnerships & Sponsorships : Forge partnerships with notable figures or organizations (like sustainability advocates, beauty activists, or wellness brands) that align with the brand's values and ethos. These partnerships can generate media coverage and build credibility.
  • Campaign End-to-End Management : Monitor influencer content to ensure it is on-brand, timely, and resonates with the target audience.
  • Audience Engagement & Community Building :
  • Foster Community Growth : Build and nurture a loyal digital community through proactive engagement. Respond to comments, messages, and posts to establish a genuine connection with followers.
  • Engagement Tactics : Use features like polls, Q&A sessions, and live events to encourage interaction with the audience. Focus on creating a sense of belonging within the brand's online community.
  • Leverage Social Listening : Monitor trends and conversations to identify opportunities to engage with Gen Z in real-time, responding to their feedback and adapting strategies based on their interests and preferences.
  • Digital Campaign Management & Optimization :
  • Manage End-to-End Campaigns : Manage the development, execution, and optimization of digital-first campaigns, including organic content and influencer collaborations.
  • KPIs and Performance Tracking : Continuously monitor and analyze campaign performance, adjusting strategies based on engagement metrics, such as likes, shares, comments, and conversions.

Content Optimization : Use data insights to test different campaign creatives, content formats, and approaches, ensuring continuous improvement of engagement and results.

  • Public Relations :
  • Media Relationships : Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with beauty journalists, influencers, bloggers, and media outlets that align with the target audience. Focus on digital beauty publications, YouTube beauty creators, TikTok influencers, and social media platforms to amplify brand messaging.
  • Press Coverage : Actively pursue media placements in relevant beauty, fashion, lifestyle, and sustainability-focused outlets, ensuring that press coverage reaches Gen Z's preferred platforms like online magazines, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube . Owning & producing press releases and press kits for new launches.
  • Data-Driven Insights & Reporting :
  • Consumer Insights : Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) to gain a deep understanding of Gen Z's behaviors, interests, and purchasing patterns. Leverage this data to refine strategies and tactics.
  • Performance Reporting : Regularly report on key metrics like community growth, engagement rates, website traffic, conversion rates, and ROI on digital campaigns.
  • Customer Journey Mapping : Identify the key touchpoints in the customer journey, particularly for Gen Z, and use this information to optimize digital experiences and engagement.
  • Trendspotting & Innovation :
  • Stay Ahead of Trends : Keep up to date with emerging digital trends, beauty innovations, and cultural shifts within Gen Z, ensuring that the brand remains relevant and resonates with the target audience.
  • Innovative Digital Tools : Integrate emerging technologies like AI, AR, and interactive experiences to provide unique and engaging digital experiences for Gen Z.
  • Test New Platforms : Identify and test new platforms where Gen Z is migrating to (e.g., Threads, Clubhouse, or emerging apps) to establish a presence early and stay connected with the audience.
  • Qualifications

  • Experience : 5 years in digital marketing, consumer engagement, or social media management with a strong focus on beauty, fashion, or lifestyle brands. Experience working with Gen Z audiences is a must.
  • Digital Strategy Expertise : Proven track record of developing and executing digital-first marketing strategies that drive engagement, conversion, and brand loyalty.
  • Platform Mastery : Deep knowledge of social media platforms popular with Gen Z (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat) and digital tools like social listening, paid advertising, and community management.
  • Creativity & Innovation : Strong creative direction with a knack for creating engaging, on-trend content that resonates with Gen Z values and aesthetics.
  • Analytical Skills : Ability to use data analytics and reporting tools to measure, evaluate, and optimize campaigns and engagement.
  • Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :

  • Engagement Rate : Likes, comments, shares, and mentions across social media platforms.
  • Community Growth : Increase in followers, subscribers, and active participants within the brand's community.
  • Influencer Impact : Success and ROI of influencer-driven campaigns (increased engagement, sales, and brand awareness).
  • Campaign Performance : Reach, conversion rates, and ROI for digital campaigns (paid and organic).
  • Customer Sentiment : Brand sentiment analysis through social listening tools and consumer feedback.
