Marketing Specialist

JOB PURPOSE:   Under general supervision of the Marketing Manager, handles day-to-day assigned marketing responsibilities. Including all marketing activities: publicity, direct mail, advertising, creative production, special events, casino promotions, C store and Hotel marketing activities.  Assists in the creation of an annual marketing plan and budget in accordance with company guidelines. This list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative only of the tasks performed by this position and is not all-inclusive. SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES:NoneMINIMUM QUALIFICAQTIONS:Must be 21 years of age or older.Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales, or related field.Two years of marketing and promotion experience.Gaming and hospitality experience preferred.Must be able to pass background check, with no prior convictions of any felonies.Must be able to obtain and maintain Osage Nation Gaming License.Tribal preference and Native American Indian preference shall apply to all positions at Osage Casinos.JOB DUTIES:Supports the Marketing Manager with the planning of casino promotional events and coordinates various property marketing functions including promotions, along with the development of support materials and systems.Maintains sole responsibility for the implementation of all promotions at the assigned property or properties.Manages projects within approved budgetary constraints. Provides variance justification and documentation as required. Reconciles bills with insertion/job orders as they come in. Investigates and follows up on any variances.  Submits correct bills for payment to accounts payable in accordance with company procedures.Handles paperwork required to pay vendors through purchase requisitions and checking disbursements.Maintains current competitor marketing and promotional events knowledge including collection of collateral materials. Maintains a cataloged library of all company and competitor electronic advertising and publicity.Ensures advertisements are approved by necessary departments/individuals in accordance with Company guidelines prior to releasing them for publication, distribution or display. Under direction of Marketing Director, establishes entertainment, production and decor needs for designated special events within budget constraints.Prepares proposals for events outlining the entire entertainment package designed for the specific event. Prepares promotion profiles as well as end-of-the-month reports. Attends events to ensure customer satisfaction and supervises the set-up and tear down of designated events. Expands the Community Partners program by gaining membership interest. Canvases local businesses, makes contact, “sells” the mutual benefits and confirms participants in the program as necessary. Maintains written confirmation of participants and what type of service or discount amount they will offer under the program.Assists marketing staff in planning events that promote partner program. Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.Works entertainment events evenings and weekends.Performs other duties as required.GUEST SERVICE:Provides excellent internal and external guest services, treating all guests with courtesy and consideration at all times.Cooperates and communicates with all employees, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image and attitude.Monitors production and service levels by interacting with guest and staff COMMUNICATION:Ensures company information provided by management is effectively communicated to assigned staff and ensures staff concerns, request for information, and ideas for improvement are effectively relayed to management.Facilitates the flow of information throughout the area of responsibility by presiding over scheduled meetings with staff and team members as required.Stays informed of company information and communications by reviewing all e-mails, digital boards and SharePoint. REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:Maintains excellent working relationships with other Company staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance. Performs all duties in accordance with company core values, objectives of the Osage Nation, internal policies and procedures, as well, as applicable laws and gaming regulations, including but not limited to, the state-tribal compact, IGRA, MICS, ONGR, the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control, USA Patriot Act and Privacy Act.

Salary : $37,500 - $47,500
