We are currently seeking a full time Junior Accountant for our Fiscal Department. Under the direction of the Vice President of Finance, the Accounting Manager facilitates the Osborne Association’s accounting and administrative functions. This role holds the critical responsibilities of supervising the operations of general accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable and provides support for the agency’s financial administration.
Salary: $27.47-$30.21 per hour

Requirements
Essential Duties:
- Assist in the monthly closing of the general ledger.
- Prepare all Journal Entries for the monthly closing, including but not limited to entries pertaining to insurance, rent and utilities, credit card charges, and other critical organizational functions.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Post Journal entries approved by an appropriate manager.
- Partner with the accounting admin team to oversee the Metro Card and Gift Card inventory.
- Work closely with various departments to ensure closeout and recording of Gift Cards and Metro Cards and prepare related journal entries to enter into the accounting system.
- Prepare and post cash disbursement vouchers per departmental procedures and funders’ regulations; ensures the accuracy and timely processing of vendor payments and employee reimbursement requests.
- Provide support for all audits, and financial reporting. Supports other staff within the finance department by conducting research, compiling data, and conducting data entry.
- In person attendance is required to collaborate with coworkers.
- Performing other duties as required.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred
- A Bachelor's degree in finance is required, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage time and resources in a fast-paced environment with many deadlines
- Experience with Financial Edge NXT a plus
- Knowledge and experience in accounting and finance
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, pay strong attention to detail, and time management skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and build strong relationships
