The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (A&A) would provide guidance to the Cybersecurity Lead in protecting, detecting, characterizing, countering, and mitigating unauthorized activity and vulnerabilities on DoD information networks and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads in the development, sustainment, coordination, and oversight of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages for the USARCENT DoD enterprise networks
  • Develops and completes System Security Documents in accordance with the RMF process
  • Manages and upkeeps the Army Portfolio Management Systems (APMS) artifacts
  • Makes recommendation for Program Managed/Program of Record (PM/POR) systems
  • Manages portfolio of items such as circuits, L3VPNs etc. contained in various DoD systems such as, System Network Approval Process (SNAP) and Grid Interconnection Approval Process (GIAP)
  • Assists in developing and implementing cybersecurity programs and provides recommendations for, and coordination of, administrative policies and procedures.
  • Manages and documents A&A projects using Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) A&A workflow platform
  • Advises, conducts and documents risk assessments, development of System Security Plans (SSP), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) and security policies and procedures
  • Guides the implementation of security controls, doctrine and policies
  • Implements cybersecurity standards and procedures to identify, report and resolve security violations
  • Establishes and satisfies cybersecurity requirements based upon user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands
  • Develops and maintains a process to identify and track cybersecurity requirements, identify possible solutions, manage cybersecurity actions, and document decisions and certification efforts
  • Perform vulnerability and risk assessment using DISA's Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) suite
  • Performs other tasks as required by BME and the Government contracting office

Required Qualifications/Education and Experience:

  • Must have 10 years’ of hands-on experience in cybersecurity
  • Must have and maintain IAM Level III certification (CISSP, CISM, GSLC)
  • Must have and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Strong working knowledge with Risk Management Framework (RMF), STIGs, and Security Controls
  • Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to work in a multi-disciplined environment with an adaptive personality
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written and a client focus
  • Must possess analytical skills to troubleshoot cybersecurity issues
  • Must be able to apply intensive and diverse knowledge to problems and make independent decisions
  • Must be a team player able to work professionally and collaboratively with the government customer and other contract members of the project team
