STACK Cybersecurity is a full-service Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) as well as an established Managed Services Provider (MSP) We are an IT consulting company that provides ongoing support and management of customer network environments, workstations, and servers with an emphasis on Cybersecurity first solutions.
We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer II (Tier 2) to join our technical support team. This role serves as a critical escalation point for complex issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and system management capabilities across our enterprise infrastructure. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge with excellent problem-solving skills to ensure optimal system performance and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced workstation and application support for complex issues beyond Tier 1 capability
- Serve as the primary escalation point for Technology Specialists (Tier 1), offering guidance and resolution for challenging technical problems
- Manage application whitelisting processes to ensure security compliance while enabling business-critical software
- Administer auto elevation management systems to balance security requirements and user productivity
- Configure and maintain Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) environments, including:
- Creating and editing Conditional Access policies
- Developing and implementing new security policies based on organizational needs
- Manage and optimize Intune policies for device compliance and configuration
- Administer SharePoint and OneDrive file management systems, including permission structures, sharing policies, and content organization
- Monitor and respond to Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) alerts and incidents
- Collaborate with security teams on Managed Xtended Detection & Response (MXDR) systems
- Provide support for applications running on Windows Server operating systems
- Participate in on-call rotations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5 years of IT support experience with at least 2 years in advanced system administration
- Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft technologies including Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- Strong understanding of security principles and experience with EDR/MXDR solutions
- Proficiency in Windows Server environments and application support
- Experience creating and managing Conditional Access policies and security configurations
- Advanced troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to various audiences
- MCSA, MCSE, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, or similar certifications preferred
