Sr. Network Engineer - with Security and (Network or CCNA/CCNP) Certifications

LOCATION: Fayetteville, NC (on-site five days a week)


As the Senior Network Engineer, the individual will perform network configuration and troubleshooting tasks. In this role, the Senior Network Engineer will train and oversee a team of 5-12 network engineers supporting over 1000 devices (Primarily Cisco routers and switches) across multiple installations.

Reports to and receives direction from ENOSC Manager.


Responsibilities:

  • Installs, configures, and supports LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VoIP systems
  • Maintains WAN/LAN Compliance with Security Technical Implementations Guides (STIG's)
  • Provides hands- on support to project that involve networks
  • Supports networking or VoIP systems and monitoring security events, correlation, and daily event reporting
  • Monitors and controls the performance and status of network resources across multiple enclaves utilizing software and hardware tools
  • Develops and maintains all networking documentation (drawings, cut sheets, configurations, and deployment plans)
  • Works with other engineers and administrators in support of networking related projects
  • Escalation point for Tier 2 NOC issues for over 400 CONUS and OCONUS military sites.
  • Provides in depth troubleshooting of Ethernet/DS3/NxT1 circuits.
  • Submits Change Orders and create MAP/POAM for any impacting network changes.
  • Assists with installation, movement, upgrades, and disposals of computer hardware and software products.
  • Assists other SME's in planning network changes/upgrades in efforts to expand USARC WAN footprint.
  • Provides day-to-day subject matter expert support
  • Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office


Required Qualifications/Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have and maintain Secret Security Clearance
  • Must possess Security Certification or DoD 8570 certified at IAT Level II/IAM Level III or higher
  • Must possess Network or CCNA certification
  • Possess an ITIL v3 Foundation certification at hire or the ability to obtain the certification within 120 days of hire
  • Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in a computer system or DoD Network experience
  • Experienced IT Professional with 6 years of technical control and network admin expertise
