Job Title : Syteline System Administrator (SQL & ERP Focus)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Syteline System Administrator with a strong background in SQL Server management and troubleshooting to support and optimize our Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI / Syteline) ERP system . This role is critical in ensuring system stability, data integrity, and performance for our lumber sales and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering CSI / Syteline, managing SQL databases, and troubleshooting ERP-related issues to improve business processes and system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and configure Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI / Syteline) to align with business operations.
  • Maintain and optimize SQL Server databases, ensuring performance, security, and data integrity.
  • Diagnose and resolve ERP and SQL-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, failed jobs, and data inconsistencies.
  • Monitor and optimize database queries, indexing, and stored procedures to enhance system performance.
  • Support integrations between Syteline and other business applications, ensuring seamless data flow.
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and system security to ensure compliance and data protection.
  • Develop custom reports, dashboards, and automation scripts using SQL, SSRS, and other reporting tools.
  • Stay current with Infor CSI updates and patches, leading upgrades and system improvements.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal teams, troubleshooting ERP-related issues and improving system usage.

Qualifications

Experience :

  • 5 years of experience administering Infor CSI / Syteline ERP.
  • Strong expertise in SQL Server administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing and sales operations in an ERP environment.
  • Familiarity with SSRS, Power BI, or other reporting tools for data analysis.
  • Knowledge of ERP integrations, APIs, and data migration best practices.

    • Technical Skills :

  • Proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Understanding database backup strategies, disaster recovery, and high availability.
  • Ability to troubleshoot ERP and SQL-related issues with minimal downtime.
  • Experience managing ERP security, user roles, and permissions.

    • Soft Skills :

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with IT, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    • Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Infor CSI / Syteline and SQL Server certifications are a plus.
