Principal Objective of Position:
The Logistics Load Planner is responsible for reviewing, planning, and processing of customer orders for shipment.
Essential Functions:

· Ensure quality expectations, operational procedures, and high standards of workmanship are maintained by self and assigned work area(s).
· Reviewing customer orders, planning the orders, and processing the orders for shipment using the ERP system meeting customer ship dates.
· Distributing picking work to material handlers for the processing of customer orders from the warehouse.
· Direct material handlers on timely loading of customer orders onto the trailers
· Back up Logistics Team Lead
· Resolve issues relating to material delivery and the processing of shipments.
· Ensure employee compliance with federal and state law as well as Company policies and procedures.
Other Responsibilities:
· Participate in Team and other meetings, as required.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Help drive a safe culture.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
· High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Minimum of 2 years shipping or warehousing experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
· Demonstrated ability to maintain excellent safety and quality standards.
· Ability to take initiative and work proactively.
· Knowledge of and demonstrated skill in executing inventory management procedures.
· Ability to perform simple calculations and follow written instructions.
· Good written and oral communication skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both independently and within a team.
· Ability to record and maintain accurate records with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
· Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
Work Environment:
This position is required to work in a job shop/manufacturing environment. The incumbent will be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts frequently. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
