About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator based in Denver, CO, or nearby with a background in Transmission & Distribution, Substation, Powerline, or other electric utility sectors. This role ensures compliance with safety regulations and actively promotes a culture of safety on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Support safety initiatives under the direction of the Lead HSE Coordinator
- Conduct site safety inspections and ensure regulatory compliance
- Investigate incidents and provide analysis for improvements
- Identify and correct hazards, exercising stop-work authority when necessary
- Assist with supervisory inspections and enforcement of safety codes
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of HSE experience in the utility or electrical industry (T&D, substation, powerline, heavy civil/electrical)
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Windows OS
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Must be able to travel up to 70% as needed
