Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Barback to join our dynamic team. The Barback plays a crucial role in supporting bartenders and ensuring smooth operations behind the bar. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality. We need a strong barback for our nightclub on Saturday night and Tea Dance Sunday afternoon.
Duties
- Assist bartenders in preparing drinks and serving customers promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Stock and replenish supplies, such as liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
- Help with food preparation as needed, ensuring all items are ready for service.
- Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes from the bar area to maintain a tidy environment.
- Communicate effectively with bartenders and other staff to ensure efficient service.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and addressing their needs.
- Operate POS systems for transactions when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of bartending practices is a plus; willingness to learn is essential.
- Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
