We are seeking a dedicated and organized Expediter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Expediter plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared and delivered efficiently, maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a busy kitchen setting. You must be fluent in English and Spanish.

Duties

• Coordinate and manage the flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring timely delivery.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to clarify orders and address any issues that may arise.
• Monitor food preparation processes to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Assist in food handling and preparation as needed, supporting kitchen staff during peak service times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting area, ensuring all tools and equipment are readily available.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries or concerns regarding their orders.

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is required, particularly in roles related to banquet service or culinary operations.
• Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is an asset.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Knowledge of food handling safety practices is essential for maintaining health standards in food service.
• A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to contribute positively to the dining experience.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 14 – 16 per week
