Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and certified Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager to lead and enhance our quality management systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of all products manufactured within our facility. The ideal candidate will have solid experience leading audits (SQF, FDA, Kosher, Organic, Halal) and hold a valid SQF Practitioner Certification.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Quality Control team to ensure the effective application of quality management techniques.
- Develop and implement inspections to ensure compliance with all quality programs and processes.
- Drive business improvements while minimizing people impact through effective change leadership.
- Provide technical and process support to Operations and Maintenance to ensure product safety and quality.
- Build and strengthen team capability through hiring, training, and employee relations.
- Perform internal and external audits, including SQF, FDA, Kosher, Halal, Organic, and supplier audits.
- Manage non-conforming product issues to minimize losses and prevent recurrence.
- Ensure all sanitation and environmental programs meet quality standards.
- Oversee the calibration and accuracy of analytical procedures and equipment.
- Interpret analytical data to make quality evaluations and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA chemical hygiene plans and laboratory safety practices.
- Provide training in food science and quality measurement systems to relevant personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5–10 years of experience in a Quality Manager role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Chemistry, Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in a food or chemical manufacturing environment (flavor industry experience a plus).
- SQF and PCQI Certified (ASQ-certified auditor preferred).
