What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director Inpatient Nursing Services position at OSF HealthCare?
Expected pay for this position is $52.66 - $69.77/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Director has responsibility for coordination of services and activities that impact inpatient care areas within the organization.
- Along with the other members of the Director's Council, provides management leadership and development across the organization.
- Serves as the nursing representative and/or leader of many multidisciplinary teams and work groups within the organization and at a Ministry level.
- Leads activities in patient classification/ acuity, information systems projects, recruitment and retention, regulatory compliance, and other appropriate activities.
- Participates on teams relative to staffing and scheduling, Magnet Recognition, and service line activities.
Areas of responsibility include:inpatient OB, ICU, Stepdown, surgical acute, respiratory therapy, dialysis and education.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelors
Licenses/Certifications:
- RN-Registered Nurse
- Professional Nursing Certification (must be obtained within 1 year of hire).
Experience:
- 3 years management experience within an acute care setting.
Other skills/knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
