Expected pay for this position is $30.58 - $43.17/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The EMS Training Coordinator is responsible for the administration and operation of the Paramedic Program operated by the EMS System. Assists with the maintenance of quality management guidelines.
Serves as a liaison between health care agencies and hospitals. Represents OSF HealthCare Eastern Region Emergency Medical Services (EMS) System and is the primary contact for the American Heart Association (AHA).
Assists with the implementation, evaluation and revision of all initial training, in-services and continuing education programs for pre-hospital personnel who participate in the EMS System Program.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors
Licenses/Certifications:
-Valid state driver's license Illinois licensed Paramedic or Illinois licensed PHRN
-BLS - American Heart Association ACLS Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Pre-Hospital Professionals (PEPP) International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
Experience: Completion of a Paramedic certification with 5 years of field experience and 2 years teaching experience or Registered Nurse license with a prehospital RN (PHRN) license, 5 years of clinical experience in Emergent and/or Critical Care and 2 years teaching experience
Other skills/knowledge:
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
-Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Illinois Lead EMS Instructor License Instructor Status in BLS, ACLS, (PALS or PEPP) & ITLS
