The starting rate of pay for this position is $15.00/hour.
POSITION SUMMARY: The transporter is responsible for performing patient transports and patient transfers using the appropriate equipment while adhering to safe patient handling policies and procedures. The transporter is also responsible for picking up and delivering patient care items and visitors between patient care units and other ancillary departments.
STATEMENT OF POSTING: Should there be no fully qualified candidates, the position may be considered for a full training opportunity.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensure/Certifications: Certification by the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.
- Experience: One (1) year previous transport experience in an acute health care setting within the past three (3) years
