What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Intern position at OSG?
We currently have an opportunity for a 2025 Summer Intern at OSG in our Carol Stream, IL facility. This is a compensated internship with no health benefits or paid holidays/ vacation time and will run through the summer months of May – August.
Job Title: Accounting Intern
Position: Temp, 30 - 40 hours/Week
Work Location: Carol Stream, IL
Onsite: 4 days a week
Responsibilities
- Assist Accounting with close process at the beginning of every month.
- Record journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
- Analyze financial statements.
- Work closely with accounting managers and executives to work on various process improvement projects and accounting system projects.
Position Qualifications
We are looking for a highly resourceful and analytical college junior or senior student with the following attributes:
- GPA Requirement: 3.0 GPA or higher
- Working towards Bachelor’s/Master’s degree program in Business, Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and strong Excel skills preferred.
- Critical thinking/problem solving coupled with assertiveness to pursue necessary information to resolve issues.
- Intellectually curious with a passion for learning.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail.
- Ambitious and capable of working independently; proactive attitude towards professional development.
