What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internal Audit Intern position at OSG?
We currently have an opportunity for a 2025 Summer Intern at OSG in our Carol Stream, IL facility. This is a compensated internship with no health benefits or paid holidays/ vacation time and will run through the summer months of May – August.
Job Title: Internal Audit Intern
Position: Temporary, 30 - 40 hours/weeks
Work Location: Carol Stream, IL - In person
Onsite: 4 days a week
*There is an opportunity to work part-time as a spring intern and work into the summer internship that will start in May*
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute audit plans for data analytics, serving specific financial processes.
- Conduct audit field work and audit work preparation, with completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with audit design and documentation, including testing strategies to assess specific financial process controls.
- Review client invoices for accuracy, validate information and conduct postage accuracy audits.
- Sample test to support planned audits. Oversee contract repository maintenance.
Position Qualifications
We are looking for a highly resourceful and analytical college junior or senior student with the following attributes:
- GPA Requirement: 3.0 GPA or higher
- Working towards Bachelor’s/Master’s degree program in Business, Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and strong Excel skills preferred.
- Critical thinking/problem solving coupled with assertiveness to pursue necessary information to resolve issues.
- Intellectually curious with a passion for learning.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail.
- Ambitious and capable of working independently; proactive attitude towards professional development.
