Job Description
Stepan Company is looking for a motivated individual to join our Northbrook-based Internal Audit team, as a summer intern to assist with day-to-day operations and projects. Internship projects will include drafting templates, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) testing of financial controls, and assisting with various operational audit procedures.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and prepare internal audit templates and work papers
- Assemble relevant information for use in planning and execution of internal audit projects
- Provide administrative support to the Internal Audit team
- Perform audit procedures and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness internal controls
- Effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization to support Internal Audit team
Monday through Friday : 8 : 30am to 4 : 45pm Central Standard Time, 20 to 40 hours / week. The duration of the internship, schedule, and start date will be agreed upon with the intern at the start of the internship program. Internship duration may not exceed 3 months per calendar year.

Pay Range : $20-22 / hour
