Term of Employment:
Tweleve-month position with two weeks initial vacation. Potential to earn more vacation time based on longevity.
Position Summary:
The IT Service Support Technician will work to support end users of district technology systems. Special attention will be given to categorizing, researching, and resolving instructional technology help tickets.
Essential Functions:
1. Provide school personnel with information on various hardware and software products when applicable
2. Stay current in knowledge of state of the art technologies, equipment, communication system installation and troubleshooting.
3. Collaborate on technology projects with other IT members.
4. Identify, install, and inspect new computer, audio visual, and telecommunication systems.
5. Work with district technology specialists to facilitate work ticket resolution and project completion.
6. Maintain network, computer, tablet, audio visual, and telecommunications systems.
7. Support district improvement goals and implement strategies to accomplish those goals.
8. Assist with the design, recommendation, and oversight of computer networks.
9. Stays current on trends and developments in data technologies.
10. Documents and reports improvements and efficiencies.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
1. A minimum of a two-year associate degree in computer technology or related field.
2. Work experience in computer hardware and software support preferred
3. Experience in installing and troubleshooting technology hardware using Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android operating systems.
4. Experience in software installation and troubleshooting for Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and Chrome operating systems.
5. Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications in instructional and administrative environment preferred.
6. Ability to interact tactfully and effectively with all persons encountered on the job.
7. Ability to move and/or lift computer hardware, supplies, and other items encountered on the job.
8. Valid Wisconsin drivers license
9. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable
