Join an innovative design team at a global automotive company as a Design Engineer. This role is ideal for a dynamic professional with a solid background in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and a passion for automotive design and analysis. You will contribute to the development and optimization of initial concept to finish production.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts design feasibility, cost analysis, and strength calculations.
- Conducts material selection, part construction, and part specification.
- Schedules and coordinates activities involved in prototyping, fabricating, and manufacturing of assigned products and systems.
- Analyzes components/parts in area of specialty to ensure that established layout, quality, and cost.
- Ensures performance standards and regulatory requirements are met or exceeded.
- Recommends cost-effective design modifications and improvements that support testing and mass production.
Required Skillset:
- 5 years of experience as a Design Engineer in actual creation of required components per specialty (concept, specification setting and layout creation and negotiation capability).
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience may be substituted for required degree.
CATIA (V5/V6) Proficiency Required
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
