A global automotive company is seeking a Virtual Validation Tools Lead to prepare and run PoC and Design Proposal review sessions, supporting the Feature Exploration and Vehicle Development Teams. This role plays a vital part in increasing decision confidence, accelerating the development pace, and reducing costs such as travel time, rapid prototyping, and post-Die-GO tool changes. The Lead will also drive continuous improvement of the company’s validation arena experience and toolset by introducing new methods, hardware, and software, while staying aligned with industry trends and cutting-edge innovations. The ideal candidate will utilize their knowledge of the company’s development systems and structures to anticipate team and corporate needs, fostering efficiency and excellence across the organization.
Job Responsibilities :
- Estimate and track time and resources needed for importing, organizing, and preparing data for validation reviews. Retain relevant data for future reviews.
- Import data from Catia V5 and 3DX into VR software, applying colors, materials, finishes, and shadows as required.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define review goals, scope, and schedules, selecting the optimal software and methods to achieve these targets.
- Coordinate multi-site reviews, managing resources across locations in California, Japan, and beyond.
- Ensure hardware and software readiness, setting up data, options, controls, and other elements for efficient review sessions. Capture screenshots and videos to document results.
- Lead and operate the Experience Arena, acting as the primary designer and ensuring all software and hardware systems are functional. Oversee updates and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Facilitate introductions to VR headsets and controls, promoting safety and efficiency for all users.
- Conduct demos for new hires, executives, and other groups, and manage the buildout of the Experience Arena to support next-gen proof of concept testing and clinic validation.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the Experience Arena, conducting research to enhance its capabilities for future projects.
