Join an innovative design team at a global automotive company as a Design Engineer. You will contribute to the development and optimization of initial concept to finish production being involved with the creative processes with highly collaborative teams.
Valid Ohio drivers license required.
Responsibilities:
• Design feasibility, cost analysis, strength calculations, part construction, and part specification.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations to share findings with team members and senior management.
• Work with suppliers to assure parts/services are requested appropriately.
• Evaluate technical proposals.
• Write technical reports.
• Make technical decisions with moderate supervision.
• Work on detail part design and packaging studies.
• Complete work on various parts of the car including drive assist, radars, camera, crash sensors, etc.
• Will work in 3D environment and will run conversating with different teams supporting them with styling decisions.
• Work on 2D/3D drawing and annotating drawings.
• Work on technical documentation and investigations.
Required Skillset:
• Minimum of 3 years of industry engineering experience with automotive electrical components from initial concept through mass production.
• 3 years of hands on CATIA V5 experience.
• Must be proficient in technical writing and possess computer skills for scientific and technical applications.
• Must be able to proficiently handle multiple projects and develop analytical procedures.
• Requires a BS or MS in engineering.
• Previous experience in the automotive or aerospace industry.
• Ability to report research and test results in various technical formats.
• Able to work with a team or on an individual basis to reach project goals.
Bonus Skillset:
• CATIA V6 experience.
• Previous experience in an R&D environment.
