Operations Supervisor - Food Manufacturing

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Plant Operations Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for supervising 26 employees, implementing safety procedures, and performing regular maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people, and conveyor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the sanitation team to ensure the cleanliness and sanitization of all plant processing equipment.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks, including steaming equipment on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Know and follow the 8 steps of sanitation to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Collaborate with the USDA to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of the 8 steps of sanitation and MSS/SDS procedures.
• Safety lockout/tagout training and certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; preferred education includes relevant certifications or degrees.
