What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Painter/Sandblaster position at Ostro Steel Structures?
For immediate start, we’re looking for an industrial painter to prepare and coat fabricated steel columns, rafters, and components for pre-engineered metal building systems. You're hard working, team player, eager to learn new skills and safety-oriented.
Ostro Steel Structures is a leading manufacturer and installer of metal building systems in the southeastern US and beyond. Our nearly 165,000sf production facility just outside Augusta, GA (in historic Louisville, GA) is growing quickly, and we're looking for the right people to join our team.
Your New Role:
- Prepare fabricated welded steel products for coating using electric and air tools
- Coat steel columns, rafters and components with shop primer and (sometimes) a finish coat
- Load and unload 55-gallon paint drums
- Maintain coating equipment
- Load and unload steel beams for batch coating
- Other duties as needed
Your Qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing / production role
- Excellent communication skills a must
- Must have ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks, work efficiently with minimal supervision and be detail oriented
