**Job Summary:**

Sort, distribute and process incoming mail and packages. Prepare outgoing mail according to postal regulations. Receive and deliver all incoming freight to the designated area.

  • Print:** Assists with Creative Services Manager and Creative Services Coordinator as needed.

Takes customer orders, assists customers, moves boxes and equipment, operates computers and computerized equipment, completes forms, sorts and collates papers, communicates effectively with other team members. Works with Print Coordinator to maintain adequate departmental supplies. Performs various basic administrative functions.

Signage And Specialty Orders

Produces orders for signage and specialty/ large format printing, including banners, wall and vehicle graphics and t-shirts and posters according to customer specification. Installs small-scale signage and works with Manager to coordinate large-scale signage installation with outside vendors.

Essential Job Functions

  • Enters information into job-tracking database for services supplied by department.
  • Maintains the completion and delivery dates for all mail and shipping services provided by Creative Services department.
  • Shrink wraps and logs out customer jobs when completed.
  • Produces copies and electronic files as needed to complete projects. Assists in operating large printing.
  • Prioritizes the workflow of Creative Services and performs multiple tasks at the same time, using automatic equipment capabilities.
  • Maintains security of tests and other sensitive materials. Follows copyright law, confidentiality, and careful handling of original documents.
  • Assists in the pickup/delivery of work orders, supplies and materials.
  • Assists with stock and supplies inventory.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail. Prepares outgoing mail according to USPS postal regulations.
  • Receives and delivers incoming freight. Maintains funds in postage meter.
  • Substitute for other departmental employees as needed.
  • Participate in departmental documentation and process improvement efforts; exhibit an understanding of this position's role in the campus semester plans, standard operating procedures, key performance indicators, etc.
  • Completes all mandatory training and participates in a minimum of two professional development opportunities a year.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

**Position Qualification**

Education

**Minimum Qualifications:**

High School Diploma

Certifications &/or Licenses

Must have a valid Oklahoma driver's license and maintain ability to operate university fleet vehicle.

Work Experience

Experience in office-related field. Some knowledge of shipping, receiving and mail distribution. Entry-level graphic design abilities.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the printing and graphic arts field.
  • Text editing capabilities and entry-level experience with Adobe Suite programs.
  • Ability to maintain records of postage meter, bulk mailing, business reply, postage due accounts, and departmental use of postage and paper.
  • Excellent customer service attitude and professional demeanor with all constituents.

Excellent communication and grammatical skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly, and effectively, both verbally and in writing to exchange information, give/receive instructions and respond to inquiries appropriately with all students, faculty, staff and community partners.
  • High degree of initiative to work independently and also collaborate in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of office technologies including but not limited to: office computers, fax machines, scanners, internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Passion for assisting customers and representing the OSU-OKC and OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated history of ethical and professional behavior.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent.
  • 5 years' experience in an office environment and/or customer services related field.
  • Ability to produce projects through means of printed, typewritten, digital or other machine-acceptable original material.

Working Conditions

  • May be exposed to chemicals used in the printing and graphic arts industry.
  • Maintain clothing that meets the safety standards of the areas machinery, moving parts and equipment.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to include some nights and weekends.
  • Work will be performed in an office environment with a significant amount of public contact, in person, by telephone, via email, and various communication platforms.

Physical Requirements

  • Duties require extended periods of sitting, standing, talking, listening and computer usage.
  • Position will require standing and walking for the majority of the day.
  • Must possess manual dexterity, visual ability and physical stamina to move and lift boxes and objects weighing 45 lbs. (If an object weighs more than 45 pounds, OSU-Oklahoma City requires this to be a two person lift.).
  • May be necessary to climb a ladder for installation of wall graphics/signage.
