SUMMARY: Clean customer facilities as instructed by Janitorial Crew Leader or Site Supervisor. Duties will vary dependent on specific contracts and locations. Will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including industrial cleaning, floor care, and custodial duties across commercial and residential settings. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
- Follow the directions of the Crew Leader.
- Complete assigned task list for each specific assignment which may include:
Checking, cleaning, and re-supplying all restrooms in assigned area
Sweeping and mopping of all restroom floors
Cleaning facility windows
Dusting all desktops, cabinets, ledges, partitions, furniture etc.
Cleaning floors as required, using floor signs and all appropriate safety procedures
Emptying waste receptacles and replacing liners as needed
Removal and proper disposal of all recyclable material in specified receptacles
May include performance of monthly, semi-annual, and annual special projects as required by location
- Properly maintain equipment and report equipment failures promptly to Supervisor or Crew Leader
- Report any problems, complaints, or incidents promptly to the Supervisor or Crew Leader
- Inspect areas of responsibility for cleanliness, and ensure no cleaning materials (chemicals containers, equipment, rags, etc.) are left unsecured after use
- Overtime as required.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proper use of personal protective equipment, where applicable, within task specific SOP
- Working knowledge of bloodborne pathogen precautions and apply proper safety provisions per SOP
- Working knowledge of cleaning products and chemicals, and use in accordance with prescribed recommendations; utilize the SDS as required
- Use ergonomically correct posture when completing tasks requiring repetitive motion
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have ability to work productively when unsupervised.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to interpret and comprehend labeling and signage. Ability to communicate effectively with Crew Leader or Site Supervisor.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts using basic mathematical skills.
