What We’re Looking For
We’re searching for a dynamic, self-motivated Sales & Design Consultant who can take a project from concept to completion. You’ll be meeting with homeowners, helping them choose the perfect shades and fabrics, creating custom bids, coordinating installations, and closing each project with finesse. We want someone who can match our high standards, cultivate their own leads, build valuable partnerships, and be a trusted expert for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Customer Consultations: Meet with homeowners to understand their vision and assist in selecting the right fabrics, colors, and shade options.
- Design & Sales: Create proposals that blend style and function, presenting Otium’s offerings as seamless parts of the home.
- Bid Creation & Project Management: Prepare bids, organize installation teams, and oversee projects to completion.
- Lead Generation & Relationship Building: Cultivate new leads, partnerships, and client referrals to grow your pipeline.
- Client Communication: Guide clients through each step of the process, from initial consult to final payment.
- Invoicing & Payment Collection: Close the job with confidence, ensuring seamless billing and follow-up.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with our awesome staff and contractors to maintain smooth workflows.
- Mandatory Meetings: Attend weekly office meetings to align on goals, updates, and company developments.
Who You Are
- A Design-Savvy Sales Pro: You have an eye for design, with experience in helping clients choose colors, fabrics, and finishes. Bonus points if you have a background in interior design or sales in a design-related field.
- Self-Starter: You’re motivated, ready to find and cultivate your own leads, and always looking for ways to improve and innovate.
- Detail-Oriented Organizer: You can juggle multiple tasks, coordinate schedules, and manage projects to ensure timely installations.
- People Person: You build relationships easily, enjoy working with clients and colleagues alike, and have a knack for making clients feel at ease.
- Tech Enthusiast: You’re comfortable with modern tech, from home automation basics to keeping up with our top-of-the-line product offerings.
- Professional & Personable: You’re comfortable working with high-end clientele and can confidently represent Otium’s values and quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales and/or interior design (home automation or luxury products a plus).
- Ability to understand customer needs and offer tailored solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with a flair for customer service.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members.
- Must be available for weekly in-office meetings and occasional off-site client consultations.
- Willingness to train on our products at our corporate office.

- Willing to work out office at Fort Worth Location, at least partial time when not in meetings or on site with customers. Initally working in main office will be required during training period then ability to work from home with monthly sales goals reached.
