The Global Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the global logistics operations, including international transportation and compliance with international trade regulations. This role ensures the efficient, timely, and cost-effective delivery of products, working closely with cross-functional teams to align logistics strategies with business goals. The manager will also lead and mentor the logistics team, manage relationships with logistics providers, and implement strategies to mitigate risks, improve processes, and ensure compliance with regulations. The position requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of global logistics, trade compliance, and supply chain management.
Essential Functions:

- Oversees and manages the international transportation network, including ocean freight, air freight, and ground transportation.
- Collaborates with supply chain, procurement, sales and operations teams to ensure alignment on inventory and delivery requirements.
- Develops and implements global logistics strategies to optimize cost, lead time, and delivery reliability.
- Identifies opportunities for logistics improvements, including carrier selection, route and cost optimization.
- Negotiates contracts with logistics providers to achieve competitive pricing and service levels.
- Develops, maintains, and ensures compliance with HTS codes, duties and tariffs and serves as subject matter expert for the company.
- Ensures compliance with international trade regulations, including U.S. Customs, USMCA and other applicable import/export laws.
- Leads and mentors the logistics and trade compliance team, fostering a culture of efficiency, accountability, and compliance.
- Develops and monitors KPIs to assess team and supplier performance.
- Identifies and mitigates risks in the global supply chain, including disruptions, customs delays, and regulatory changes.
- Other duties can be assigned as needed based on company needs and employee capacity.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline required; an MBA is preferred.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in a global organization managing Logistics & Trade Compliance.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and comprehensive reports.
- In-depth technical expertise and practical knowledge of logistics software and warehouse management systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of HTS codes, tariffs, and laws governing global trade.
